Kleur wordt dus door de menselijke waarnemer vrij onafhankelijk van de <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.proofs.de\/nl\/lexikon\/farbtemperatur\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Wordt gespecificeerd in Kelvin. De kleurtemperatuur beschrijft de waargenomen kleurindruk van een lichtbron. Een lamp met 3000K wordt bijvoorbeeld als warm licht waargenomen, een lamp met 6000K als koud licht. Bij digitale beeldverwerking wordt CAT gebruikt om de kleuren van een afbeelding te transformeren zodat ze constant lijken onder verschillende lichtsituaties, zoals natuurlijk of kunstlicht.<\/p>\n<p>CAT wordt gebruikt in de kleurwetenschap en beeldverwerking om de kleurweergave op verschillende apparaten zoals camera's, monitoren of printers te harmoniseren en een uniforme kleurwaarneming te garanderen. Voor dit doel worden de kleurwaarden aangepast aan de verhoudingen van een referentielichtbron, meestal de <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.proofs.de\/nl\/lexikon\/normlicht\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Gestandaardiseerd licht verwijst naar gedefinieerde lichtomstandigheden waaronder kijkers afdrukken of objecten op een uniforme manier kunnen bekijken en beoordelen.
